Description

The history books taught in our schools and colleges being mainly translation works give us at best the knowledge of our history and culture from secondary sources. They do not always convey the real purpose of the original writer, nor do they portray the true picture of our people, society and culture. Apart from the natural inability of the translation to communicate the real aim or intent of the original very faithfully and properly, there may be the translator’s ulterior motive interspersed through his work. Hence the necessity for a study of the original sources.
This book aims at awakening an urge in the mind of the students and other readers for the study of history and ascertaining the truth from reliable sources.
